Autumn Fashion Haul

I spent the weekend home from college and we were planning a run to Syracuse, NY for a mall trip and snow mobile show. Mom and I enjoyed some time at the massive Carousel Mall wandering the endless mass of shops and people. I, of course, b-lined for my favorite store, Hot Topic, first and then shopped the sales in the stores with Autumn fashion out.

I bought a good amount from Hot Topic and scored a bit of a sale at Wet Seal.

Hot Topic: HT just renovated this store with their new industrial look. I thought it showed off the product even more than the old look, though I loved it. I bought the Rainbow Kitty Halloween Kit, Cat Sweatshirt Top, Finch Locket, Crackle Nail Polish, and Feather Hair Extention. Allinall I am pleased with the quality of the items. The Halloween Kit should really be named, though, Sweet Cheshire or something of the like because of the look. Not all colors of the rainbow exist in this peice however, it will be perfect for the party with the Anime Club at my college. The magnet in the locket is crooked but otherwise fine, and there are no other flaws in the rest of the litter that I bought. I <3 HT

I almost bought a Living Dead Doll that was absolutely adorable but would have broken my budget. Like I said, I love HT

Max Brownie Points (10/10) for Hot Topic's prices, selection, quality, and updates to the stores!

~~~~~~
Wet Seal: Wet Seal had a sale that was really nice, "Buy one get the other for a penny." I bought this hat because of it's fit and price. I normally don't look good in hats, but I look cute in this one. I love the lace look too. I got the rubber Peace bracelet for a penny and love it to bits as well.
 I will definatly check their selection again because of their prices and such.
~~~~~~

We went to the Disney store as well and they had their X-mas ornaments out already, but they were adorable.

We also saw a lot of Hello Kitty in the mall which was tempting me to bust my budget.

Not so Wordless Sunday: Subway for lunch

Does the truth matter anymore or is it just a myth of our being?

As you may have seen, if you are so inclined to read my mother's blog (My Bead Journey), I started college a little over a month ago. Wow, right, it has been that long already. In that time, I have a near lifetime or at least show season worth of stories to tell. Some good, some heart breaking. However, I have been asking myself this question lately. Does the truth matter?

Roommates teach people many things through their college careers, however, all mine have taught me is hardship and how my strength is the only thing keeping me alive, literally. The people that I am living with have made me uncomfortable to the point where I stopped eating and it was hard for me to even go to the bathroom without locking my bedroom door and the bathroom door. The lies that they have told and the petty things that they have done have forced me to become sick of everything all together. The will to survive was the only thing standing between me and well, you know how that goes.

This is my comeback, and my outcry.

If anyone in college that you know or if you are said person, please, be strong for yourself and speak out. In these past weeks I have been bullied by my roommates, put through the mediation ringer, and even lightly cyberbullied. Don't let what happened to me happen to you or whomever you may know that is going through this or has. Find support. This is an aweful thing to go through and no one should do it alone. Find support and draw attention to this problem that I feel at least so few people actually know about. Even through we are adults, no one should be treated this way, no matter their age, gender, race, and personality.

Get help now.

A Flower Girl's Book

 When I was young, by young I mean my sophomore year of high school, I created an idea book out of magazines and a photo album I had lying around my room. I folded up any magazine page I could get my hands on that I found interesting. It was my first attempt at organized chaos and at finding me. For that I treasure it! I cannot believe how quickly time goes and how quickly we can lose ourselves in someone else’s influences. This book is proof of who I was, who I wanted to be, and who I am.

I just recently went through the flower book again after cleaning out my closet. I did toss things that had little value due to forgetting why I saved it, or something I had long since outgrown and lacked care for anymore. But I did save the majority of what mattered and even added some new pages in. Maybe in time, if I lose myself again or continue to change, I’ll find some nostalgia there…

Here are some pages that I was able to get a picture of. There is a lot more than this in this book.

A Dozen Dark Roses

I have tried and tried in my days to find other flowers to love, for fear of losing what originality I thought I had. But that was folly. What girl cannot love roses? So many colors to choose from and the sweet aroma equally as addicting, they are too lovable to forget. One trip to the flea market turned up an amazing rose discovery! There were buckets on racks filled with birch wood, handmade roses, and at a great price too. I had to grab a dozen before I left. lots of Black, Purple, one Yellow, one Brown, and one Green! I love the colors I chose. They even wrapped them up like you would at a florist.

 These people are very nice and helpful with picking out the perfect flowers, as well as telling stories about other buyers. According to them, black flowers are becoming more and more popular nowadays. That, at least to me, is nice to hear.

Sketching away from Sadness

Sometimes, art can be a release from the saddening things in a day. I enjoy getting covered in pencil soot and rubbing my hands across the tortured page on which I create the image flowing through my head or in front of my eyes. A couple days ago, I had one of these moments and it was quite productive if I do say so myself. I am not much of a 2-D artist, but nevertheless, I felt a sense of fulfillment. It has even come to my personal attention that art can be better than a trip to a resort, for it is more relaxing and less of a guilty pleasure.

And I drew;

-A Bird Skull Pendent from Harry Potter (I have a pendent like it from Hot Topic)

-A Wine Party

-A overly knotted Hand holding a Truffle (I call it the “Troll Hand”)

I am not much of an artist with a pencil, but I still love to sketch away!
